Security Mutual Launches Defined Benefit Pension Plan Initiative

To help advisors market Section 412(e)(3) Pension Plans

BINGHAMTON, N.Y., Oct. 20, 2015 /PRNewswire/ — Security Mutual Life announces a new online marketing initiative, developed in concert with PlanGen, LLC, that is devoted to defined benefit pension plans, including section 412(e)(3) plans.

The initiative includes a dedicated website that will allow insurance advisors to request custom plan designs 24/7 and to access their designs (existing plans and pending plans) at any time and from anyplace that has internet service. Insurance advisors will be able to access custom marketing materials, from PowerPoint shows to executive summaries, which will integrate information from the particular plan design request.

Security Mutual will also provide select insurance advisors with their own “retirement planning”-specific webpages that will include space for a bio, photo, video, links to the agent’s social media pages and a “request for proposal” function. This dedicated webpage will enhance the insurance advisor’s online visibility, especially in a retirement plan context.

George Kozol, a marketing executive with Security Mutual, observed that the defined benefit plan, especially the section 412(e)(3) plan, is fast becoming a popular choice for business owners whose businesses have modest payrolls beyond the ownership group. Kozol noted that Security Mutual Life, in concert with its plan administration affiliate, Security Administrators, Inc. (SAI), is committed to the closely held business market.

Mitchell pointed out that SAI has been serving the retirement needs of employers for more than three decades and that SAI is committed to assisting employers in maintaining a retirement plan tailored to fit the employer’s and the employees’ specific needs.
