Tammy Rabe Named Senior Director, Participant Experience at OneAmerica

Education advocate promoted to key retirement role

INDIANAPOLIS (Feb. 26, 2020) ─ OneAmerica® has promoted an education-minded veteran financial professional to fill a critical new role within the retirement service (RS) division’s strategic business division that is focused on investing in the success of the company’s more than 1 million retirement plan participants.

This month, Tammy Rabe was elevated to the role of senior director of participant experience.

Rabe’s task is to build on RS’ top differentiators of deepening relationships, emphasizing education and offering customized solutions while ensuring the mutual company’s inventory of educational resources continues to align with what its key advisor, employer, sponsor and employees’ audience is seeking.

Rabe, in her sixth year with OneAmerica, most recently oversaw its Retirement Market Insights program on behalf of its life insurance business line. In that role, Rabe worked with financial professionals across multiple lines of distribution to deliver compelling, well-supported insights and education on health and wealth strategies, like Social Security, Medicare & Long-Term Care.

Planning For Retirement Goes Beyond Just Saving

Rabe has spoken at hundreds of small and large events. Before OneAmerica she had served in marketing and communications roles with various companies in the Indianapolis area for over two decades.

“Tammy is a perfect fit for this role because she understands that planning for retirement goes beyond just saving and investing,” said Lynne Smith, head of strategy and business development for OneAmerica, an area that includes participant experience. “It requires us to make important decisions that can help optimize income, reduce expenses and protect wealth throughout our lifetime.”
