Boston, MA — Boston Financial Management LLC (“BFM”), an independent and employee-owned wealth management and investment advisory firm, announces today the appointment of Stephen V. Kenney as President and Chief Executive Officer, effective January 1, 2019.
With this appointment, Kenney will succeed Michael L. Brown, who has led BFM since 2009, and will now assume the role of Vice Chairman and Managing Director. Kenney, a 35-year veteran of the wealth management industry, joins BFM from Perago Partners LLC, a wealth management consulting firm to families and family offices that he founded in 2017. Prior to Perago, he was co-founder and Managing Director of SCS Financial Services, LLC, and formerly Executive Vice President and co-Director of Client Service at Atlantic Trust Company, N.A. (now CIBC Private Wealth). Earlier in his career, Kenney was an attorney in private law practice. He holds the designations of Chartered Financial Analyst® and Certified Financial Planner™.
