Agency repeats honor for second year in a row

Horsham, Pa. – The Penn Mutual Life Insurance Company, a more than 166-year-old company, is pleased to announce that 1847Financial, Penn Mutual’s career agency with offices in Conshohocken, Pa., Lancaster, Pa., and Whitehall, Pa., has been named one of the “Best Places to Work in PA” for the second consecutive year.
This also marks the first time 1847Financial has been distinguished among award recipients as the 10th-best place to work in PA.
Created in 2000, the awards program is a public/private partnership between Team Pennsylvania Foundation, the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development, the Pennsylvania State Council of the Society for Human Resource Management, and the Central Penn Business Journal.
“We’ve always been committed to delivering on promises made to both our clients as well as our associates, and that shows in the way we conduct our business,” said James Meehan, Managing Partner of 1847Financial. “We’re honored to receive this designation and it’s especially meaningful because we work hard to create a great environment.”
The “Best Places to Work in PA” awards program identifies places of employment in Pennsylvania that are benefiting the state’s economy and its workforce.
Employers are categorized based on the total number of employees they have in the U.S., from 25 to 249 employees and 250 or more employees. To be considered, companies had to be a for-profit or not-for-profit business, be a publicly or privately held business, have a facility in Pennsylvania, have at least 25 employees working in Pennsylvania, and be in business a minimum of one year.
