Voluntary benefits veteran tapped as new vice president of southwest region sales
COLUMBIA, S.C. (Aug. 12, 2020) — Colonial Life has named a veteran leader in voluntary benefits as its new vice president of sales for the Southwest Region. Michael Stachowiak will join Colonial Life on Aug. 24.
A growth leader who brings more than 13 years of sales expertise to Colonial Life, Stachowiak has a proven track record of growing strong sales organizations and achieving results through agency building, as well as in the broker and public sector markets.
Stachowiak has advanced knowledge of group and individual products, enrollment fulfillment and tremendous success in the large case market.
“Michael’s growth mindset, vast experience and passion for the business will serve the Southwest Region well,” said Bill Deehan, senior vice president of sales for Colonial Life. “We are thrilled to have him coming on board.”
Stachowiak has spent the past 13 years at Aflac, where he was most recently the market director in Illinois. He previously served as market director for Colorado as well as a director in broker and field strategy innovation.
A native of Eugene, Oregon, Stachowiak has a degree in business administration from Portland State University. He lives in Chicago with his wife, Carolyn, and their three daughters.
