CINCINNATI – Feb. 13, 2014 – Western & Southern Financial Group (Western & Southern) has named Karen A. Chamberlain senior vice president and chief information officer, effective Jan. 6.
In her position, Chamberlain has responsibility for all Information Services functions for Western & Southern and all its member companies, reporting directly to John F. Barrett, chairman, president and chief executive officer of Western & Southern. She replaced Clint D. Gibler, who passed away last year.
“Karen brings extensive experience in information technology and operations to our company,” Barrett said. “We welcome her expertise and leadership to help lead our Information Services efforts to ensure we are highly competitive now and in the future.”
Chamberlain attended DePaul University in Chicago. She holds FINRA Series 6 and 26 licenses. Her career spans 27 years in information technology and operations with assignments at Allstate Insurance Company, JPMorgan Chase and, most recently, The Hartford Insurance Group. She lives with her husband, Gene, in Farmington, Conn., but will be moving to the Cincinnati area. They have two college-age children – Alex and Liz.
