With two decades experience, to lead sales for the Maine insurer
(Bangor, ME – January 13, 2016) – Cross Insurance, a subsidiary of Cross Financial Corp., and one of the largest independent insurance providers in New England, announces the hiring of Eric Jermyn as Vice President of Business Development for Cross Employee Benefits. He will be based in Portland, Maine.
In this new role, Jermyn is responsible for leading Cross Employee Benefits’ sales efforts.

A solid track record
An insurance industry veteran, Jermyn joins Cross Employee Benefits from Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Maine, where he worked in a variety of increasingly responsible sales positions for more than two decades, most recently as the company’s Director of Large Group Sales. For most of his insurance career, Jermyn worked in partnership with Cross and other brokers in the State.

Active in the community, Jermyn has served on the Kennebec Valley Chamber Board since 2010, elected as the KV Chamber Board Chair for 2016. Jermyn also serves as the Vice Chair and Finance Committee Chair for Maine School Administrative District 11 serving Gardiner, Pittston, Randolph and West Gardiner. A lifelong New England sports fan, Jermyn volunteers his time as an umpire for Gardiner Area Cal Ripken baseball and has coached his children’s sports teams.
Jermyn is a graduate of UMass/Dartmouth, with a Bachelor of Arts degree Humanities and Social Science. He lives in Gardiner with his wife, Kathie, and their two children.
