Condoleezza Rice to Deliver Opening Keynote at LIMRA 2016 Annual Conference

Former U.S. Secretary of State to Headline October Meeting in Chicago for LIMRA’s 100th Anniversary

WINDSOR, Conn., Feb. 22, 2016 — LIMRA today announced that former U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice will deliver the opening keynote address at the LIMRA 2016 Annual Conference, which will be held Oct. 23–25, 2016, in Chicago.

Rice is currently the Denning professor in global business and the economy at the Stanford Graduate School of Business; the Thomas and Barbara Stephenson senior fellow on public policy at the Hoover Institution; and a professor of political science at Stanford University.

From 2005–2009, Rice served as the 66th secretary of state of the United States, the second woman and first African American woman to hold the post. Rice also served as national security advisor from 2001–2005, the first woman to hold the position.

The LIMRA Annual Conference is one of the largest gathering of executives representing all sectors the financial services industry. This year’s event is an industry celebration, drawing together LIMRA’s stakeholders to commemorate the industry’s accomplishments over the last 100 years.
