To focus on how the industry must embrace technology
WINDSOR, Conn. February 19, 2018Brandon Carter – Press – Today LIMRA and LOMA announced that Brandon Carter, chairman and president of USAA Life Insurance Company, will be the keynote speaker for their 2019 Life Insurance Conference. The conference, jointly hosted by LIMRA, LOMA, the Society of Actuaries (SOA), and the American Council of Life Insurers (ACLI), will be held in Baltimore, Maryland from April 1 to April 3, 2019.
The Life Insurance Conference draws hundreds of industry professionals involved in the development, underwriting, marketing, distribution, technology and administration of life insurance products. Topics include new technologies, changing consumer behavior and new regulation.
Carter’s presentation will focus on how the industry must embrace technology to help improve the experience of its consumers. He will explain the evolving role advisors play in the digital world.
David Levenson, president and chief executive officer of LIMRA, LOMA and LL Global, and Susan Neely, president and chief executive officer of the American Council of Life Insurers (ACLI) will also speak at the conference. Their presentations will focus on the life insurance industry and how it can remain relevant in the changing world.
Additional speakers include:
Dave Rengachary, M.D., senior vice president and chief medical director of US mortality markets, RGA Reinsurance Company, will look at the 5-10-year horizon of medical trends and assess how each will transform the life insurance industry.
Jennifer Golbeck, Ph.D., director of the social intelligence lab for the University of Maryland, College Park, will discuss the impact of AI on the long-standing practices of the life insurance industry.
Kirsten Schowalter, author and founder of Aging Courageously, will share her inspiring story of how she and her family picked up the pieces of their lives after a fatal accident. She will emphasize how life insurance shows our love for the people we care about the most.
