Adrian Dunuwila Joins Voya Financial Advisors

Specializing in employees in the higher-education field

Voya Financial Advisors, Inc. (VFA), announced today that financial professional Adrian Dunuwila of Fayetteville, New York, has joined the firm. Dunuwila offers a broad range of comprehensive financial advice and investment management to individuals and families, with a special focus on employees within the higher education field.

Dunuwila joins VFA from Lincoln Investments where he managed approximately $186 million in assets under management. He specializes in supporting those specifically with 403(b) retirement plans. Joining his son Brendan Dunuwila at Dunuwila Wealth Management, both Adrian and Brendan have a goal of helping individuals invest wisely to be able to retire with confidence. “I enjoy what I do and would never want to retire, but I am also fully aware that because some things in life are beyond one’s control, a responsible financial professional must have a meaningful transition plan in place,” said Dunuwila. “As a result, it made a great deal of sense to combine our businesses, streamline our operations and provide our clients with assurance of uninterrupted service for many years to come. I am privileged to be associated more closely with both Brendan and Voya.”

Succession Planning

“At Voya Financial Advisors, we are committed to providing the right technologies and resources for financial professionals to support them when it comes to succession planning, which includes providing the steps to consider when it comes to both short-term and long-term plans,” said Tom Halloran, president of Voya Financial Advisors. “We know that a well-executed succession plan can be used as a competitive advantage to attract, recruit and retain new clients and employees alike. We’re thrilled to be able to support Adrian as he transitions to Voya and ultimately help make the succession process easier for him to design and execute.”

Financial professionals who join VFA get the benefits of a brand name in the industry without sacrificing their independence. This includes a broad range of technology solutions to deliver online digital advice, deep field support, mobile and integrated technology capabilities, cutting-edge 401(k) business solutions and in-depth special needs financial planning resources.
