Highlighting common misconceptions about life insurance
The Penn Mutual Life Insurance Company announces a series of White Papers that will be produced throughout 2013. With research derived from its myWorth annual survey, the first White Paper focuses on common myths and realities consumers have about life insurance. It is now available on PennMutual.com.
The “Life Insurance: Myths and Reality” White Paper examines the common misperceptions that life insurance is only used for its death benefit; only needed after you’ve started a family; and the amount of coverage purchased should remain the same throughout your entire life, among others. Other White Papers in the 4-part series that will be published in 2013 will explore if women are underinsured; the impacts of continuing to work later in life; the persistency of life insurance stereotypes; and the need for producers to be creative about staying in touch with clients.
“We know that today’s consumer is smarter than ever. Consumers, even those who work with good financial advisors, do their homework before making financial decisions. Our White Paper series is one way that Penn Mutual can help consumers get the information they need to make the best choices for themselves and their families,” said Eileen McDonnell, President and CEO of Penn Mutual Life Insurance Company. -MORE- White Paper 2/2 About The Penn Mutual Life Insurance Company Since 1847, Penn Mutual has been driven by our noble purpose to create a world of possibilities.
