Brokerage group fields a diverse, experienced slate of leaders

(Fairfax, Va.)— George C. “Chip” Van Dusen IV of Diversified Brokerage Services, Inc. in Minneapolis, MN has been named Chairman of the National Association of Independent Life Brokerage Agencies (NAILBA) for 2016.
“Chip has been a part of the framework of NAILBA for several decades,” said NAILBA CEO Jack Chiasson. “Through his in-depth understanding of our industry and his historical perspective of the important role of the brokerage channel in the life distribution space, Chip brings a wealth of leadership experience to his role at NAILBA’s helm.”
Slated for diversity, experience
Van Dusen will be joined on the Executive Committee by James Sorebo, of Marlton, NJ-based Four Seasons Financial Group in the role of Chairman Elect, and Jeffrey D. Mooers, H.D. Mooers & Co., Lafayette, CA, as NAILBA’s Secretary/Treasurer. David Long, Senior Vice President of Sacramento-based CPS Sacramento/Long Insurance Services will remain on the Executive Committee as Immediate Past Chairman for 2016.
“We are fortunate that our Board of Directors represents our diverse membership so effectively,” said Chiasson. “The strength and depth of our leadership’s experience will ensure that NAILBA remains the voice of independent brokerage distribution.”
In addition to the new Executive Committee, Myra Palmer of The Palmer Agency in Atlanta, GA has been re-elected to a three-year term as a Director.

With the help of our staff and in collaboration with many of our affiliated insurance organizations, we will continue to bring NAILBA members the tools and resources they need to develop and cultivate their businesses,” said Chairman Van Dusen.
