Association continues mission to serve advisors at work in the healthcare insurance domain
Boston, MA July 24, 2014 – The Massachusetts Association of Health Underwriters (MassAHU) is a trade association representing over 1,000 health insurance agents, brokers and advisors statewide and has been in the forefront of advocacy and public awareness on the role and contributions that employee benefits professionals bring to the public.
“MassAHU plays a central role in guiding the insurance industry along with state and federal agencies on related issues and policy impacting our employer clients and their employees and families. Amidst the ever-changing health care/insurance landscape, brokers, agents, and advisors serve in a critical role – helping employers to understand and navigate pathways to safe ground,” observes David A. Shore, with Borislow Insurance Agency and president of MassAHU. “Being asked to continue in this leadership role is a tremendous honor.” Mr. Shore is also a leading member of other prominent industry associations, including Insurance Company Broker Advisory Councils of the Massachusetts Health Insurance Connector (“The Exchange”) Broker Advisory Council and Steering Committee. He works closely with legislators, law and policy makers at national, state and local levels.
