Mass Association of Health Underwriters Installs New Board Members

Welcomes new director Gregory Puig

Boston — 31 JULY 2018 — Massachusetts Association of Health Underwriters (MassAHU) announced its 2018 – 2020 slate of officers and directors earlier this month. MassAHU welcomes newly elected Director Gregory Puig, of Sentinel Benefits & Financial Group. Puig, who currently serves as Director of Benefit Consulting Services and oversees Sentinel Insurance Agency’s consulting team where he is focused on helping organizations design, implement, communicate and administer their employee benefit offerings.

“MassAHU is the voice of the future in this industry and I look forward to serving on the board to help shape that voice and continue to deliver value to our members,” said Puig.

“Millennials are moving into the health insurance industry faster than ever and we look forward to this opportunity to bridge the power and benefits of the next generation of millennials brokers by having Greg on the MassAHU board”, said Kate Bardsley, executive director.

Recognizing Jean Stone

Exiting the board this year is Jean Stone, Vice President, MountainOne Insurance Agency/OneDigital Alliance Partner in Williamstown. The directors wished her the very best as she transitioned off the board in June, thanking her for being such a valued and accomplished broker representing Western MA. “It has been an honor and pleasure serving on the board of directors for the Massachusetts Association of Health Underwriters,” said Ms. Stone. “The MassAHU board is comprised of highly professional advisors and brokers who are driven and enthusiastic benefit experts who support the needs and concerns of their clients, bringing advocacy to the State and National level”.

Ms. Stone’s professional roles include sitting on the Broker Advisory Board to the Massachusetts Health Connector and the Broker Advisory Board to Health New England. She will remain active as a MassAHU member supporting the mission and role of the Association.

The following individuals will continue to serve in their volunteer roles for MassAHU during the 2018-2020 term. In the leadership roles are Christopher Powers, Senior VP with Benefit Development Group, a Risk Strategies Company, as President; Todd McDonald, Managing Director of Aisling Partners an Alera Group Company, as Vice President; Joe Lawler, Benefits Consultant with The Gaudreau Group, as Treasurer; and William (Bill) Stuart, Director of Strategy and Compliance with Benefit Strategies LLC., as Secretary with David A. Shore, Senior VP Enterprise Strategy & Risk Management, at Borislow Insurance as Past President.
