Continues to Expand with New Products in Additional States

BRIGHTON, Mich., Aug. 4, 2015 — LifeSecure Insurance Company is growing again – this time by adding new product lines to more states.
Continuing its pattern of tremendous growth in recent years, LifeSecure is expanding its national footprint by releasing its next-generation individual Hospital Recovery (HR) and Personal Accident Insurance (PAI) products to several new markets across the country.
“Our enhanced Hospital Recovery and Personal Accident Insurance products are an important part of LifeSecure’s long-term growth and success,” said Tiffany Albert, LifeSecure president and CEO. “Similar to our approach with long-term care insurance, we continue to bring unique and innovative solutions to the market as we expand into new areas. As a perfect complement to traditional health plans, our products will help families better protect their health, cover the unexpected and plan for the future.”
Both products preserve LifeSecure’s signature simplicity, flexibility, and innovation. Through their straightforward product design, the products provide cash benefits to help families cover out-of-pocket costs not always covered in full by traditional health insurance, such as emergency room visits and x-rays.
Benefits can also be used to help with unexpected financial setbacks, such as lost wages and personal expenses during recovery, like child care and housekeeping services. With HR coverage, policyholders receive a cash payment based on the number of days they are hospitalized up to a preset limit. LifeSecure’s PAI coverage reimburses policyholders for medical expenses resulting from an accidental injury.
The products are available in 13 states with plans to add additional states soon. With today’s announcement, HR is now available in Iowa, Illinois, Missouri, Nebraska, North Carolina, North Dakota, Texas, and Wisconsin; PAI is now available in Arizona, Iowa, Kentucky, Missouri, North Carolina, South Carolina, Texas, and Wisconsin. Both products were previously released in Michigan and Ohio.
