Leaders Attending 2022 LIMRA Annual Conference To Focus On New Opportunities To Support And Protect Consumers

LIMRA will host the event at the Marriott Marquis Chicago on Oct. 16 – 18, 2022

WINDSOR, Conn. September 20, 2022 — The 2022 LIMRA Annual Conference will focus on how the industry can help financially stressed consumers narrow their protection gap and achieve holistic financial security.

A recent LIMRA consumer sentiment survey found that 3 in 5 adults have taken “unfavorable actions” concerning their overall financial stability amid rising stress about the economy and inflation. As life insurance, annuities, and workplace benefits contribute to holistic financial health, leaders attending the annual conference can gain insights and strategies for helping more consumers improve their financial protection.

This year LIMRA has organized the breakout sessions into three tracks: life insurance, annuities, and workplace benefits, allowing leaders to attend the sessions that relate to their specific lines of business if they choose. Key sessions include:

The conference also features a senior executive panel. Panelists will discuss how their organizations are navigating pandemic-driven change and the new opportunities for their organizations created by it. They will also address the continued challenges of attracting qualified talent, and how economic factors (rising interest rates and inflation) are affecting the life, annuity, and workplace benefits markets. Mary Jane Fortin, executive vice president and chief commercial officer for Thrivent, will lead the panel, which includes:

  • Ellen Cooper, president and chief executive officer of Lincoln Financial Group;
  • Bryan Adams, co-founder and chief executive officer of Integrity Marketing Group;
  • Jennifer Fitzgerald co-founder and chief executive officer of PolicyGenius; and
  • Gilles Dellaert, global head of Blackstone Insurance Solutions.

“Consumer concern about their financial security has grown under increasingly challenging economic conditions,” noted David Levenson, president and CEO, LIMRA and LOMA. “This year’s event will give senior leaders new insights and ideas to help them continue delivering on our industry’s purpose to protect families.”
