Industry Leaders To Gather At LIMRA’s 2023 Distribution Conference

This year’s conference – themed “Bringing Purpose to Life” – will focus on emerging opportunities and challenges in distribution and what these could mean for carriers

WINDSOR, Conn. January 12, 2023 — LIMRA’s 2023 Distribution Conference will be held March 1 – 3 in Orlando, Florida. Each year, the Distribution Conference attracts industry professionals involved in distribution channel growth, productivity, and strategy.

“As the industry keeps evolving, we must continue finding new ways to equip financial professionals with the means to effectively engage their clients,” explains John Carroll, senior vice president of member relations and sales for LIMRA and LOMA. “This year’s conference will give distribution professionals fresh insights to act on our industry purpose for consumers.”

Tim Gerend, executive vice president and chief distribution officer for Northwestern Mutual, will deliver the opening keynote, offering his insights on marrying effective distribution strategies with industry purpose to drive successful business outcomes and customer satisfaction.

Alison Salka, senior vice president and head of LIMRA research, will deliver five insights around industry trends that are influencing the evolution of distribution. Leveraging her remarks, attendees will be able to develop new strategies to navigate an uncertain economy and changing consumer priorities.

Additional sessions at this year’s event include:

  • The Future of Growth – The Producer Perspective Panel, which will explore how carriers and financial professionals can work more seamlessly together in a post-pandemic world. Moderated by Ron Rovner, assistant vice president for member relations and sales for LIMRA and LOMA, the panel represents career, brokerage, and multi-line distribution carriers.
  • Ginny Clarke, former director of executive recruiting at Google, will share expert advice for organizational health and strong people management to help attendees optimize talent, resources, and profitability for the long run.
  • Jim Stengel, marketing thought leader, former Global Marketing Officer at P&G, and author of Grow: How Ideals Power Growth and Profit at the World’s Greatest Companies will help attendees identify their organizational purpose to better connect with and serve their clients.
  • The Distribution Conference will also include five interactive roundtable discussions that will explore consumers’ post-pandemic needs, financial barriers to entry, integrating wealth management with insurance, inclusive recruiting practices, and reaching underserved markets.
