Guardian/Berkshire Launches Mobile DI Tool

DI QUICKQuote Industry-First Mobile Disability Insurance Quote Tool

NEW YORK, N.Y., April 23, 2015 – The Guardian Life Insurance Company of America® (Guardian), one of the nation’s largest mutual life insurers, and through its subsidiary Berkshire Life Insurance Company of America, a leading provider of individual disability income (DI) insurance, today announced the introduction of Guardian DI QUICKQuote.

This industry-first mobile sales tool allows financial professionals to access current product information and pricing, enabling them to provide on-the-spot quotes for individual disability income insurance to current and prospective clients. Guardian DI QUICKQuote decreases the response time for current quote requests from days to seconds, using interactive and easy-to-use configurations.

Guardian’s proprietary DI Illustration System is built into the software, which means that users can plug in their age and expected amount of income needed to retain their current lifestyle and instantly receive a quote. Guardian DI QUICKQuote allows financial representatives to generate a ProVider Plus Quick Quote on a smart phone and email it directly to a client.

ProVider Plus, Berkshire’s signature individual disability income product, is non-cancellable and guaranteed renewable to age 65 or age 67. “At Guardian, we are focused on leveraging the latest technology to enhance our customer experience. Our customers want immediate product and pricing information and Guardian DI QUICKQuote allows our financial professionals to give real-time, current information regardless of physical location and client proximity,” said Gordon Dinsmore, President of Berkshire Life Insurance Company of America, a wholly-owned stock subsidiary of Guardian that issues individual DI insurance policies.

“The introduction of Guardian DI QUICKQuote is another example of how we meet our clients’ needs how, when, and where they prefer.” With the DI QUICKQuote tool, Guardian again shows that it is leading the industry in technological advancements and new services for its customers. In addition to implementing Guardian DI QUICKQuote, Berkshire has completed its initial rollout of a new, advanced underwriting system and is the only individual DI carrier to offer a student loan rider.

Guardian and its subsidiary’s disability income insurance products include group disability, individual disability, small business protection, and supplemental disability income protection.
