Available to New Medical Professionals without Income Verification
NEW YORK, February 2, 2015—The Guardian Life Insurance Company of America® (Guardian), one of the nation’s largest mutual life insurers and a leading provider of individual disability income (DI) insurance, has announced new options for Nurse Practitioners (NP) and Physician Assistants (PA) interested in individual disability income insurance.
Under Guardian’s Special Limits for New Professionals Program for NPs and PAs, certified first-year NPs and PAs are now eligible for up to $10,000** in individual DI coverage without proof of income and final year students can receive up to $6,000** in coverage.
Among the fastest growing occupations in the medical arena, these professions are expected to grow nearly 38 percent over the next eight years, compared to an 11 percent expected growth rate for all occupations*. "The educational requirements for NPs and PAs have increased considerably over the last few years, with many employers now requiring advanced degrees for these positions.
