LIMRA announces its 2020 Regulatory & Compliance Exchange

WINDSOR, Conn. Feb. 24, 2020 — Best Interest. Reg 187. Fraud prevention. Technology innovations. Data analytics. Anti-money laundering. It is clear the financial services industry is complex. Come to the 2020 Regulatory Compliance Exchange to learn about crucial regulatory issues and effective compliance practices from peers and experts. The event, hosted jointly by LIMRA and LOMA, will take place in Orlando, Florida from March 31-April 2, 2020.

Pat Williams, co-founder and senior vice president, NBA Orlando Magic, will open the conference with practical and proven leadership techniques designed to immediately increase productivity. Later that day, Carrie A. O’Brien, senior special counsel, U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, will join James Clement, vice president and chief compliance officer, Ameritas, and Diane Stuto, managing director of legislative and regulatory affairs, Life Insurance Council of New York, to discuss how best interest requirements—both federal securities and state insurance regulations—are showing a continuing trend toward consumer protection.

The following day, Nancy A. Hill, vice president of regulatory compliance, Pacific Life Insurance Company, will moderate the following panel of experts as they discuss data analytics and using data in compliance.

Fraud prevention—another hot topic for the industry—will be the subject of a session moderated by P. Yvette Knott, operations director at Nationwide. Nancy Barnwell, vice president of governance and controls, Prudential, Michael Hagan, AML and financial crimes officer, Sammons Financial Group and Ann Radford, director of operations, compliance and anti-fraud, John Hancock will provide an overview of how their companies are combating fraud.
