In 2017, Colonial Life paid more than 70,000 disability claims to customers, totaling more than $210 million in claim payments.

It is the first time Newsweek has named top customer service providers. For the full results, visit Newsweek’s study evaluated retailers and service providers in 141 categories. The evaluation was based on an independent survey that included 132,954 customer evaluations. Brands were measured on the likelihood of customer recommendation plus evaluation criteria including quality of communications, technical competence, range of services, customer focus, and accessibility.
