A winner of the Boston Business Journal survey for the 4th year
Boston, MA (May 2015) — The Boston Business Journal has named Baystate Financial one of the Best Places to Work in Massachusetts in its thirteenth annual regional awards program.
As the only wealth management firm to make this year’s list, the honor recognizes Baystate Financial achievements in creating a positive work environment that attracts and retains employees through a combination of employee satisfaction, working conditions and company culture.
Baystate Financial was one of over 400 companies to qualify for consideration based on a two-stage nomination process and the results of employee-satisfaction surveys taken throughout March & April.
“We all knew, before we won any award, that we had something special here at Baystate Financial," said David C. Porter. "As our team continues to grow, maintaining our culture could get harder to do… but then again, I’m not so sure. "
Porter went on to say that every day "we see new and truly awesome things coming from our growing team of brilliant advisors & staff, as just this week, two of our newest members have already produced outstanding results and feel as much a part of our Baystate Financial family as those who have been with us from the beginning."
Porter credited Baystate Financial’s greatest strength: its network of talented people, the passion they have for their work, and the collaborative culture they embrace. "All across New England, our associates make us a best place to work," he said.
The best thinking
He stressed that the firm continually seeks to foster an environment that encourages the best thinking and supports personal and professional development, 'bringing the best to each other and to our clients day in and day out.'
The survey project was launched in January by the Boston Business Journal in conjunction with market research firm Quantum Workplace of Omaha, NE. Companies were evaluated on the results of more than 18,000 employee-satisfaction surveys.
Employees answered questionnaires that addressed such factors as their pride in the company, company encouragement, support and recognition of achievement and relationships with co-workers and supervisors. The results were analyzed and scored by assigning points to each question. 80 companies total … the top companies in five size categories will be awarded during a lively cocktail reception on June 18th at the iconic CitiCenter /Wang Theatre and profiled in a special supplement of the Boston Business Journal on June 19th For more event details, please visit here.
