Melissa Harrison-Hiatt Promoted to Second-VP at The Standard

To lead the comnpany’s Employee Benefits Shared Services

July 06, 2017 — PORTLAND, Ore.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Standard Insurance Company (The Standard) announced today that Melissa Harrison-Hiatt has been promoted to second vice president of Employee Benefits Shared Services.

Since joining The Standard in 2012, Harrison-Hiatt has led teams in the Contact Center and Absence Management. In her most recent role leading Life & Disability Services, she managed the opening of The Standard’s operations center in Altavista, Virginia.

Prior to joining The Standard, Harrison-Hiatt worked at Citigroup where she managed an operations unit, quality management and compliance functions, and a project management organization.

The Standard’s Shared Services

In her new role, Harrison-Hiatt will have responsibility for Project and Process Management, Learning and Development, System Administration, Business Finance and Producer Services for the Employee Benefits Shared Services team.

Harrison-Hiatt has a bachelor’s degree in marketing and finance from Portland State University and an International Master of Business Administration from the University of Denver.
